Cruisin' the Nile

Who needs a five star cruise ship when you can glide down the Nile in style in a Felucca sailboat? We embarked from Aswan on the "Nile Sprite" Felucca for 2 nights/3 days of fun and sailing. Sailing, swimming and suntanning by day, then feasting, drinking and sleeping under the stars by night.

Lazy days on the Nile. Life aboard was cozy but not too crowded. We enjoyed the great company of 3 Aussies, an American, 2 Egyptians and 2 Chinese.


Mealtimes featured delicious, freshly prepared Egyptian food and refreshing hot tea.

Fateh is a badass. This old sailor could climb a mast with great speed and agility.
